Bug Details
The bug specifically affects the calculation of usage values for tenants with multiple users when running Analytics reports at the group level and not specifying a user name in the User field (this defaults to '*'). In such cases, the reported usage values may be inaccurate, and therefore, the data provided may not reflect the true usage of your Cloud Object Storage consumption.
Workaround
To mitigate the issue and ensure accurate reporting, tenants with groups containing multiple users are advised to follow these steps:
- Login to Cloud Object Storage
- Navigate to the Analytics tab
- Enter the username of a specific user in the User field
- Make any preferred modifications to the report parameters (account, time period, granularity, etc) and select List
- Collect the Maxiumum reported usage value of the latest record
- Repeat steps 3 - 5 for each user in your group
- Manually calculate the total usage by summing up the values from each individual report
