# Cloud Data Protection Caveats

Expedient utilizes Cohesity for our Cloud Data Protection service on Nutanix AHV Private Clouds.

Please note the following limitations:

- Cohesity does not currently support the backup or restoration of **Volume Groups**.

> Expedient recommends utilizing the data protection services built into AOS to backup, protect, and restore volume groups.
- Cohesity does not support **Instant Volume Mounts** on AHV clusters.

> [!NOTE]
> The Cohesity agent will need to be installed an any VM that requires the restoration of individual files.
