# Cloud Object Storage Configuration for Veeam Optimization

### Introduction

This document is intended to provide Expedient clients configuration best practices set on the Veeam side to ensure optimal performance with Expedient's Cloud Object Storage (COS)

### SOBR Configurations

#### Max Bucket Size

Each SOBR configuration/bucket should be configured with a max bucket size of 250TB as per vendor recommendations to optimize performance.

### Backup Job Configurations

#### Storage Settings

You should configure the max bucket size to use Local Target (Large Blocks). This should equate to a 4MB object size that can be compressed to 2MB. This helps optimize performance by reducing the metadata table footprint.
