Cloud Folder Configuration

Article Summary

Before creating additional Cloud Drive Folders, please consult please consult the Global File System Architecture KB. Creating unnecessary Cloud Drive Folders will increase complexity and management overhead of permissions. 

  1. Login to your Portal
  2. On the navigation pane, select Folders and Cloud Drive Folders
  3. Select New Folder
    1. Configure the Cloud Drive Folder
      1. Name:                      PortalNameDescriptor
      2. Owner:                    ServiceAccountName
      3. Folder Group:          ServiceAccountName or ServiceAccountNameDescriptor
      4. Quota:                      Use Owner Quota unless a specific quota value for the folder is desired
      5. Windows ACLs:      Yes when creating an SMB share which will be integrated with Active Directory, No otherwise (NFS, SMB Local Auth)
    1. Select Save
  1. Once created verify the cloud drive folder on the Cloud Drive Folders page
