Folder Group Configuraiton

Before creating additional Folder Groups, please consult the Global File System Architecture KB. Configuring unnecessary Folder Groups will increase the complexity of a deployment and its management overhead.

1. Login to your Portal
2. On the navigation pane, select Folders and Folder Groups
   
3. Select New Folder Group
   1. Configure the Folder Group
      1. Name:                      ServiceAccountName or ServiceAccountNameDescriptor (If multiple Folder Groups are utilized)
      2. Owner:                    ServiceAccount
      3. Deduplication:         Fixed Block Size
      4. Block Size:               4 MB
      5. Map File Size:          640000 KB
      6. Compression:           Yes, High Speed
      7. Encryption:               Yes
         
   2. Select Save
4. Once created verify the folder group on the Folder Groups page
