vGateway Automatic Updates

When deployed by Expedient staff, a vGateway will be configured to perform automatic upgrades from the Portal. Change Controls with advanced notification will occur prior to making a vGateway update available in the portal.  The vGateways will also be configured to automatically check in with the Portal, download/apply the update, and reboot the following Thursday between 3:00-4:00AM to boot to the updated vGateway version.

If a vGateway has been deployed by you or your team, by default the vGateway will immediately apply the update and reboot. You will need to reconfigure the automatic updates to ensure the vGateway reboots at an acceptable time.

You may also chose to customize the time of the reboots or modify other behavior as you see fit.

1. Login to the Portal
2. Select System and then Firmware
   
3. Select Settings
   1. Install Updates Automatically:                 Checked (Default) or Config
   2. Restart Automatically After Installing:     3:00-4:00AM on Thursday (Default) or Config
      
4. Select Save
