vGateway SMTP Alerting

The vGateways can be optionally configured to send email alerts utilizing a local SMTP. This allows the local vGateway to keep you informed of certain error conditions that may occur via email.

Configure the SMTP Server

  1. Login to your vGateway
  2. Select Alerts and then Mail Server
  3. Configure the Mail Server
    1. Deliver with Custom Server:              Checked
    2. SMTP Server:                                     SMTP Server
    3. SMTP Port:                                         SMTP Server Port
    4. Server Auth:                                       Authentication Configuration
    5. Enable TLS:                                        TLS Configuration
  4. Select Save

Configure the SMTP Alerts

  1. Login to your vGateway
  2. Select Alerts and then Email Alerts
     
  3. Configure the Email Alerts
    1. Recipient 1:                 Email 1
    2. Recipient 2:                 Email 2
    3. Sender Email:              filername@company.com
    4. Log Severity:              Critical (Default) or Config
    5. No Connectivity:         1 Hour (Default) or Config
    6. Last Backup:                Unchecked (Default) or Config
    7. Last Sync:                   1 Hour (Default) or Config 
    8. Volume Full:                Unchecked (Default) or Config
    9. User Near Quota:         Unchecked (Default) or Config
    10. Backup Success:          Unchecked
    11. Firmware Updated:     Checked
    12. Device Shutdown:       Checked
  4. Select Test to test the email alerting and Save to save
