# How to Clone a VM

**This document is for cloning a virtual machine, not creating a template.*

1. Select **vApps** from the left side menu, then **New** > **New vApp**

2. From here, we will create an empty vApp for the Clone.

Empty vApp

3. Select the virtual machine for the clone operation, go to Actions> select **Copy To**
