Panorama Change Public Notification

Panorama commit permission change 2023

Due to data security and privacy concerns, Expedient has temporarily disabled clients' ability to make commits and push changes to templates, or Palo Alto firewalls from within the Panorama management interface.

Clients may still log into Panorama and context switch to each of their firewalls, then make and commit any changes necessary as demonstrated in the screenshots below.

  1. Once logged into the Panorama management interface at fw.expedient.cloud, click the drop-down menu on the top left of the page.

2. The selected device’s context will load.

3. Once loaded, you will see your device’s hostname on the title of the tab you opened fw.expedient.cloud with.

Alternatively, clients may prepare template changes in Panorama, and then submit a ticket to Expedient’s O.S.C. requesting those changes be committed on their behalf. The Expedient team is actively working with Palo Alto to deploy a fix, but no estimate is available as to when this feature will be re-enabled.

There is no CVE associated with the root issue associated with this change as it involves adding new features to Panorama, rather than a code vulnerability or similar error.
