# Storage Policies

In Expedient Enterprise Cloud all resources are provisioned using an allocation model including storage. Because of this, your storage policy will reflect all **provisioned** storage in your tenant which includes VMs, ISOs, Templates, as well as nvram for VMs.

For example, let's assume there were a VM in your tenant with 100GB of disk and 4GB of RAM assigned your storage will reflect 104GB consumed. Therefore, you must purchase at least 104 of "GB Disk Space - Enterprise Cloud"

Below is the configuration of a VM with 4GB of RAM and 100GB of Disk assigned.

As stated above because of this configuration the storage policy will reflect 104GB used, used in this sense being provisioned in the tenant.

In addition, Expedient recommends you maintain at least 10% free space to allow for other options, such as VM snapshots.
