# vGateway Enable NFS

A vGateway does not have NFS functionality enabled by default when they are deployed. If you wish to utilize NFS functionality, you must enable this.

1. [Login](/v1/docs/login-to-cloud-file-storage) to the vGateway
2. Select **Share** and then **NFS Settings**

3. Configure NFS
  1. Enable NFS:     **Checked**
  2. Asynchronous Writes:    **Checked or Client Config**
  3. Aggregate Writes:         **Checked**
4. Select **Save**
