The vGateways can be optionally configured to send email alerts utilizing a local SMTP. This allows the local vGateway to keep you informed of certain error conditions that may occur via email.
Configure the SMTP Server
- Login to your vGateway
- Select Alerts and then Mail Server
- Configure the Mail Server
- Deliver with Custom Server: Checked
- SMTP Server: SMTP Server
- SMTP Port: SMTP Server Port
- Server Auth: Authentication Configuration
- Enable TLS: TLS Configuration
- Select Save
Configure the SMTP Alerts
- Login to your vGateway
- Select Alerts and then Email Alerts
- Configure the Email Alerts
- Recipient 1: Email 1
- Recipient 2: Email 2
- Sender Email: filername@company.com
- Log Severity: Critical (Default) or Config
- No Connectivity: 1 Hour (Default) or Config
- Last Backup: Unchecked (Default) or Config
- Last Sync: 1 Hour (Default) or Config
- Volume Full: Unchecked (Default) or Config
- User Near Quota: Unchecked (Default) or Config
- Backup Success: Unchecked
- Firmware Updated: Checked
- Device Shutdown: Checked
- Select Test to test the email alerting and Save to save
