# vGateway Syslog Exporting

Each vGateway can optionally be configured to forward logs to a Syslog enabled device on your network. To configure this functionality follow the configuration steps below.

1. [Login](https://portal.document360.io/v1/docs/login-to-cloud-file-storage) to the vGateway
2. Select **Event Log** and then **Syslog**

3. Configure Syslog
  1. Event Severity:     ***Desired Severity***
  2. Server:                  ***Server***
  3. Port:                      ***Server Port***
  4. Protocol:               ***Server Protocol***

4. Logs will now be sent to the Syslog instance as desired
