Below are the items that will alert in the Expedient Monitoring System by default.  There are additional components being monitored on other platforms, such as Elastic. This list represents what Expedient creates alerts for directly from vCenter and the base management controller.

  • vCenter Alerts

    • Core Services Status

    • Appliance disk capacity/status

    • License Expiration

    • CPU/RAM exhaustion on the VCSA Appliance

  • Host Alerts:

    • Storage Access (disconnected/offline)

    • Storage Capacity (default 80% warning, 90% critical)

    • vSAN disk or node access (if applicable)

    • ESX Agent health checks to VCSA

    • ESX License expiration

    • Host Power status

    • IP Conflicts

    • Host Memory usage (default 75% warning 90% critical)

    • Host CPU usage (default 75% warning 90% critical)

    • TPM status

    • vMotion failures

    • NIC status/loss of redundancy

    • Core service status changes

    • HA agent status

  • Base Management Controller (iDRAC/iLO) Alerts (Fault or Failure)

    • PSU fault or abnormal voltage

    • DIMMs

    • CPU

    • RAID Controller (if applicable)

    • TPM Chip

    • CMOS battery

    • NICs

    • System Fans
