Introduction
Restore individual files or folders when a smaller subset of data is needed for restoration. A restore task can be initiated to recover files and folders back to the original or an alternate NAS share.
Procedure
- Log in to the Cloud Data Protection system.
- From the navigation bar at the top of the page, select the Data Protection → Recoveries tab.
- Select the Recover button and then Files or Folders
- Select Browse or Specify Path and utilize the search utility to locate the path of the file(s) and/or folder(s) to be restored.
- Wildcards and partial names are supported.
- Click the path.
- Utilize the browser window to select the snapshot to restore from, locate your file(s) or folder(s), and select Add To Cart.
- Select Save and Continue to proceed to the Recovery Options page.
- Select Save and repeat for the location steps to recover multiple files or folders.
- When you have selected all the files or folders, select Continue to Options.
- Configure the restore on the Recovery Options page.
- Task Name: Select a meaningful name for the recovery task
- Recovered: Confirm the files you wish to recover
- Target: Select Change to restore to a different target
- Location: Toggle this setting dependent upon if you want to restore the files to the original location
- Overwrite: Toggle this setting dependent upon if you want to overwrite the files to the original location
- Interface: Choose Select from Interface/VLANs select the appropriate bond0.* interface; in most cases, this will be the only bond0.* option that is not bond0.1930.
- Options: Adjust the additional options as necessary
- Select Recover Files.
