Installing RedHat/CentOS Linux Agents to Unified Log Management

  1. Download Linux Agent installer from Log Insight web interface.

  2. Upload Linux RPM to /tmp directory via WinSCP or a similar tool.

  3. To install the agent, enter the install commands below

cd /tmp sudo SERVERHOST=EXAMPLE-LOGINSIGHT.domain.com rpm -i Log-Insight-Linux.rpm


Please note that the 'SERVERHOST=' argument is "VIP FQDN" you created during the ULM deployment process. If you don't know, log into the appropriate ULM deployment and locate the VIP name in the Log Insight web interface -or- refer to the asset name (without '01' or '02' in the name).
