Article Summary

Expedient provides Data Protection services to customers within our datacenters and from client's offices.

Network communication to and from the Commvault CommServe server will be conducted via a public routable IP address and defined ports over HTTPS. Traffic is encrypted via a one-way HTTPS AES 128-bit SSL tunnel.

Several services used by the Commvault software listen for incoming network traffic on predefined network ports, listed below. The CommServe system, Media Agents, and iDataAgents within the CommCell group communicate with each other through these ports. Essential CommServe services are automatically assigned registered, static port numbers during installation. Please open communication services for the following IP public addresses and ports on your firewall.
