Thank you for your feedback
At times you may wish to suspend alerts for a server that is already monitored by Operations CTRL. For example, if you are installing a new application over the next couple days and you expect unscheduled reboots might be necessary. To do this, simply create an "Ignore Alert" in the Expedient Support Management Console (SMC).
- First, log into the SMC as you normally would
- From the Resources menu, select Ignore Alerts
- On the "Ignore Alerts" page, click the green Add button
- Now choose the appropriate variables. In most cases this is simply Starts (EDT), Ends (EDT), and Devices. In the Devices field just start typing the name of the device and select from the list. NOTE: Ignore Alerts should not last longer than 7 days. If you need to extend an Ignore Alert longer please create a second Ignore Alert.
