Article summary

Firmware version 7.0.1399.11 or above is required to expand the disk space of a vGateway. You can perform the firmware upgrade with the firm file via the link below:

https://download.expedient.com/ctera

You can manually upgrade the firmware on the gateway following the documentation linked below:

https://www.ctera.com/help/vgateway/7.0/#page/V_Series_Maintenance/Gateway13.1.8.html

When you need to add additional disk space in the CTERA gateway when an array is defined, follow the procedure in the documentation from "Increasing Available Storage When an Array was Defined" from the section that applies to your virtual environment platform:

https://www.ctera.com/help/vgateway/7.0/#page/V_Series_Maintenance/Gateway13.1.7.html

Once this is completed, add it to the array:

https://www.ctera.com/help/vgateway/7.0/#page/CTERA_Edge_Filer_Administrator_7.0.x_Help/Gateway3.03.3.html#ww1468461

Once the array size is increased from adding the new disk, you can then edit the disk to expand the newly added space from adding the disk to the array. See "Enlarging a Volume" from:
