How-to Edit a Protection Job

Introduction

Expedient Service Delivery staff will perform a base configuration of a Protection Job inside the Cloud Data Protection platform. To edit a job created by this team or yourself, follow the below procedure.

Procedure

1. Login to the respective Cloud Data Protection system
2. Upon logging into the cluster you should be directed to the Protection Jobs page
3. If you are not automatically directed to this page or are on a different page, from the navigation menu to the left of the page select Data Protection → Protection
   
    
4. Locate the protection job you wish to manually initiate and select Context Menu Icon (), then select Edit
   
     
5. The Objects section allow you to make configuration changes that determine the servers being backed up.
   
   
6. The Protection Group selection lets you name the job.
   
   
7. The Policy Section lets you set your RPO and retention period.
   
   
8. Select Save to save your changes on Cancel to cancel them.
